The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Anthony #1248 celebrated CDA Day on October 24 in Durango. Approximately 30 members and guests attended 11:30 a.m. Mass together at St. Columba Church followed by a reception and brunch in the St. Columba Parish Hall. Members of Court  St. Anthony voted Jean Gaiovnik as this year’s recipient of the Catholic Daughter of the Year Award.

The award was presented by Pat Petersen and Therese Teiber.   Jean joined Catholic Daughters in 1974.  Since that time, she has been the Regent and involved in various other activities within the organization and the community.  Also during the reception, Therese Teiber presented Dolores Barela with the 50 year pin.
